Professional propeller repair

In our specialized workshop, we carry out a meticulous propeller repair process designed to restore optimal performance and extend its lifespan.

We work with bronze and stainless steel propellers up to 90 cm in diameter, applying inspection, correction, and balancing methods using high-precision technology.

Our technical team guarantees reliable results, with different finishes and delivery times adapted to your needs.

1. Reception of the propeller in our workshop

  • Visual inspection of the propeller to detect deformations, cracks, and possible deviations.
  • Cleaning if necessary, using sandblasting with abrasive substrate "corundum".
  • If cracks are detected, weld them.
  • If there are bent parts, straighten them if the material condition allows.
  • Measurement of pitch error for each blade with the highest precision.
  • Checking the blade shape and the water exit lines.

2. Blade pitch correction and balancing process

  • The blade is heated until it reaches the appropriate heat point. Then, using our special hydraulic machine, we mechanically correct the blade deviation.
  • It is left to cool to determine post-heating retraction, and a new measurement is taken.
  • The heating and correction process is repeated several times until achieving the necessary precise adjustment.
  • Static balancing of the propeller.
  • In case of imbalance, we proceed to sand the back face of the blade and take another measurement. (This process is repeated until exact balance is achieved.)

3. Propeller finishing

  • Finally, and at the customer’s express request, the chosen finish is applied
    • Polishing to achieve a shiny effect.
    • Sandblasting for subsequent priming.
  • Estimated repair time
    • One week on alternating schedules.
    • Two days in case of exceptional urgency.
  • Propellers made of bronze and stainless steel are repaired up to a maximum diameter of 90 cm.
  • Warranty on the work carried out within the repair workshop.
  • No assembly/disassembly services are provided.
  • Shipments are made after quotation of transport costs.
